The team doing the research is headed by Mr. Edward P.H. Woo. Mr. Woo is the author of a book entitled “Cantonese for English Speakers”. He discovered that there is a “Hexatave” in speech, just as there is an Octave in music. Mr. Woo advocates a new methodology called “the Musical Approach Concept” to teach and to learn spoken languages. Mr. Woo also pioneered the development of a software called “The Spokesperson” to convert text to speech.
