由亞洲(澳門)國際公開大學校董會及行政委員會主席黃景強博士、校長莊善裕教授率領的代表團一行前往北京進行教學訪問,本月六日獲中國教育部副部長袁貴仁等有關方面負責人接見。 黃景強博士向中國教育部領導介紹了自一九八一年創辦澳門東亞大學、到後來的東亞公開學院、直至現時的亞洲(澳門)國際公開大學的辦學歷程,表示將再接再厲竭力把亞洲(澳門)國際公開大學辦出特色、辦出水平、辦出成效,為澳門、內地以至東南亞地區的經濟發展和社會進步培養出各類專業人才。 袁貴仁副部長充分肯定黃景強等三位大學創辦人為澳門商等教育事業的努力和所作出的成就,並對莊善裕教授出任校長以來所取得的成績表示讚賞。袁副部長更再三表示,教育部將繼續大力支持亞洲(澳門)國際公開大學的教學工作,勉勵大學密切配合國家“十一、五計劃”,為進一步開發中西部及邊遠地區的高等專業教育培訓工作出謀獻策。 Asia International Open University (Macau) visits the Ministry of Education PRC The
Chairman of Administrative Council of Asia International Open University,
Macau (AIOU), Dr. K. K. Wong and the Rector of the University, Professor
Zhuang Shanyu leaded a delegation to Beijing and visited the Ministry of
Education. The delegation was received by Mr. Yuan Guiren, the
Vice Minister of Education on 6th February 2007. Dr.
K. K. Wong reported the history of the University, since the establishment
of the very first university
of
University of East Asia in 1978.
It was then restructured and became the East Asia Open Institute and finally renamed the Asia International Open
Unviersity, Macau in 1992. Dr.
K.K Wong stressed that the University will strive to become a distinguished and high
standard university to cultivate qualified professionals
in Macau, Mainland
and the South East Asia. The Vice Minister of Education, Mr. Yuan expressed his appreciation for the effort and contribution of Dr. K.K. Wong and the other founders of AIOU in the field of higher education in Macau. He also praised Prof. Zhuang for his achievement in the University. Mr. Yuan said the Ministry of Education will continue their support to the academic development of AIOU. He also encouraged the University to follow the Country’s “11.5 Plan” and to provide further education and training to the remote and central-western areas of the Mainland.
