A fruitful Sichuan visit by university leaders

In order to strengthen the connection among higher education institutes of Macau and the west part of Mainland, the Government of Macau SAR, Higher Education Bureau and representatives from five Macau higher education institutes formed a delegation to visit Sichuan from 3^rd to 10^th of June.  Delegates indicated that the visit not only deepened their knowledge about the education situation of Sichuan, but also enhanced the understanding between the education departments and universities of the two places and paved the way for their future cooperation.

The delegation visited the local Education Department, Sichuan University and some cultural scenic spots.  Meetings had been held to exchange their experience.

The event was coordinated by the Office of Hong Kong, Macau & Taiwan Affairs, Ministry of Education PRC, escorted by its Deputy Director Mr. Zhang Dong and led by the Vice Director of Higher Education Bureau, Government of Macau SAR, Ms. Kouk Sio Lai.  Delegates included the Vice Rector of University of Macau, Mr. Alex lai, Vice Dean of Macau Polytechnic Institute, Mr. Wong Pu Qu, Dean of Institute For Tourism Studies, Ms.Fenny Wong, Rector of Asia International Open University (Macau), Prof. Zhuang Shanyu and Vice Rector of Macau University of Science and Technology, Tang Ze Sheng.
